(03/12/22) Update: As The Garage Massage Therapy is deemed an outpatient medical facility, masking is still required in the office, but other public spaces in the building are not. Please plan accordingly, thank you!
(05/18/2020) Proclamation 20-24.1 allows non-urgent health care services to resume statewide, subject to the infection control and other requirements outlined in the proclamation. The department of health has clarified that under Proclamation 20-24.1, a licensed massage therapist is providing a “health care service” and this service can be provided at any location statewide, including in counties still in Phase 1 under the Governor’s Safe Start Washington plan, as long as the requirements in the proclamation and in the laws governing massage therapy are met. We are open for Massage Therapy services only.
What we are doing:
Rescheduling any patients who feel symptomatic of illness (e.g., fever, cough, difficulty breathing). If a patient has symptoms, we do not provide treatment. Instead, we refer patients to their primary care provider.
Make sure patients practice social distancing of six feet in waiting rooms and other areas of the practice.
Closely follow CDC guidelines for hand hygiene and clean equipment and facilities between patients.
Remind sick employees to stay home. Do not require them to work. Allow all employees who are uncomfortable with continuing to work in the clinic to stay home.
Wear a face mask or cloth face covering when providing massage and when within six feet of another person. Provide face covers if available and request use by clients when close proximity is necessary.
