Cody Cole is a Licensed Acupuncturist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and co-owner of The Garage Massage & Acupuncture in Issaquah. For more than a decade, he has helped people whose pain and injuries interfere with how they want to live.

Cody earned his Master’s in Acupuncture from Bastyr University in 2025, building on his education at Bellevue Massage School and years of clinical massage practice. Together, they allow him to evaluate problems from several angles.

His approach is thorough, direct, and practical. He wants to understand not only where something hurts, but what it prevents you from doing—whether that is training, sleeping, concentrating at work, keeping up with family, or getting back outside.

Cody’s treatments are results-focused rather than relaxation-centered. His work can be deep, focused, and occasionally intense, but never without purpose. Treatment may incorporate acupuncture, electroacupuncture, deep-tissue work, cupping, gua sha, or a combination of methods. He explains what he is doing, watches how the body responds, and adjusts when needed. The work done on the table is ultimately measured by how you feel and function afterward.

Cody is particularly drawn to persistent or complicated problems. He considers past injuries, movement patterns, stress, sleep, recovery, and the demands of daily life. He offers an honest assessment of what he believes he can help and looks for measurable progress throughout care.

Cody and his wife, Adrianne, own The Garage together. Her more than two decades of massage experience and continued Thai massage study have helped shape the practice and team they have built.

Working alongside Bethany, The Garage’s longest-serving employee and Ashiatsu specialist, has strengthened Cody’s appreciation for treatment styles different from his own. He also shares the acupuncture program with Jared, a fellow Bastyr graduate and Navy veteran.

Cody served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 2004 through 2026, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. His 22 years of service gave him firsthand experience with cumulative wear and tear, demanding schedules, and pushing through problems. It also shaped his calmness under pressure, straightforward communication, and belief that treatment must work in real life.

Outside the clinic, Cody values strength training, working with his hands, traveling with his family, and spending time outdoors. He understands that feeling better is rarely the final goal. The goal is being able to use your body confidently—at work, at home, in competition, or wherever you would rather be than sitting on the sidelines.
